	10 Seconds Every ten seconds a child is victimized by abuse or neglect.
	During 2009, in the State of Texas, 68,326 children were confirmed to have been victimized by abuse. In Collin County there were 4,490 children alleged to have been abused and 1,220 children confirmed as abused. (DFPS 2009 Data Book) Prevent Child Abuse America reports that each year the (direct and indirect) cost of child abuse and neglect in the United States is in excess of $94 billion. A National Call to Action states that the rate of child abuse is ten times the rate of cancer. To have even a single child victimized by abuse is too many! If we don’t protect our children, who will? The 6th Annual Healing Hearts Invitational Golf Tournament held Monday, June 7, 2010 at TPC Craig Ranch in Mckinney raised $125,000 for children victimized of abuse and neglect in Collin County.
