How to Become a Foster or Adoptive Home
Basic Requirements to Foster / Adopt Foster Parent Responsibilities/Adoptive Parent Responsibilities Important Dates: General Information Meetings and Expos Helpful Resources | Foster Care and Adoption As the population in Collin County continues to grow, so does the number of children entering foster care. There are hundreds of children in Collin County and North Texas who, for their own safety, must be placed into foster care. There are far too few homes to provide these children with the care and nurturing they so desperately need. When local foster placements are not available, children are often placed in areas throughout the state, away from all that is familiar to them. There are also children all over Texas awaiting permanent loving homes. Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center is committed to recruiting additional foster and adoptive homes to meet the needs of the children we serve.
